DALLAS, TX— ECHO DCL Inc., completes a capital improvement project for the Dallas Business Assistant Center. The 5,150 square foot modular building was designed and custom-built by ECHO DCL to serve the DBAC, which provides multiple services for the underserved Oak Cliff community. The state of the art modular building will serve as the permanent home for the DBAC, located off of Wheatland Road. The DBAC will have its grand opening next month.
ECHO DCL was chosen because of quality craftsmanship, its motto of service which includes personal attention. DBAC and ECHO DCL partnered to assess the needs of the Oak Cliff community and its business leaders to create the building design. ECHO DCL is an 8A, HUBZone and veteran-owned business. It‘s a case where small businesses partnered in order to help entrepreneurs in this disadvantaged community. This capital improvement project is a $685,000 venture made possible by grants and local businesses pulling together in a challenging economic climate. The property sits on .80 acres and is tract owned by the DBAC. The location serves a community that lives 30% below the poverty line within a 1-mile radius and has a 90% minority population. The building boasts office space, computer areas and amenities needed for start up businesses. The DBAC serves 225 businesses clients annually. The new complex is at 208 East Wheatland Road, Dallas.
