Small, Texas Construction Company Aides Benteler Steel with Their Expansion of New, Job Creating Facility in Shreveport, Louisiana.
SHREVEPORT, LOUSIANA– In early 2013, Benteler Steel/Tube decided to permanently plant their feet in the Northwest Louisiana mud and call it home. They called upon ECHO DCL to create and build five modular office buildings, ranging between 1,550 to 4,000 square feet, to add to their brand new steel facility.
Citizens in the Shreveport/Bossier City area have felt the harsh impact of a slipping economy. In late 2014, General Motors closed its doors & three thousand people were left without jobs. Businesses around the GM plant lost more than half of their usual customers & the area started to fall on to shaky ground. Since General Motors closing, Shreveport-Bossier was instantly given the unfortunate award for the fastest shrinking economy in the nation by 247Wallst.com. This was based on data published by the U.S. Conference of Mayors. The Benteler facility will help revive Shreveport’s economy by creating 2,000 direct and indirect jobs in Northwest Louisiana. Benteler relied on ECHO DCL’s top quality modular buildings for their new administration offices. Each design was produced in ECHO DCL’s own manufacturing facility, located in Durant, Oklahoma. During the process of completing the project, there was superintendent present from start to finish.
